Russia rebrands McDonald’s as ‘Tasty’
In a bid to rebrand the fast food restaurant McDonald, Russia has opted to replace the famous food brand’s name with ‘Tasty and That’s It,’ the BBC has reported.
The move came after the US fast food giant ended all operations in the country in the wake of Russia’s February 24th invasion of Ukraine, and on account of the “humanitarian crisis” and “unpredictable operating environment” caused by the war.
BBC noted that McDonald’s sold its more than 800 restaurants to Russian businessman Alexander Govor, and branches will now reopen under ‘Vkusno i Tochka’, which translates to ‘Tasty and That’s it’.
Russians have claimed that the food tastes just as good or even better than when McDonald’s owned the business.
