#DaddyDayCare

There is no greater bond than the one between a father and a son — strong, unyielding, everlasting! And with the advent of the new skincare brand Lyric’s Lather, the relationship between seven-month-old Lyric and his father Jonathan Neil will only grow stronger. Lyric’s Lather is the end product derived from the process of trying to find ways to minimise Lyric’s eczema. With the aid of products formulated by a local microbiologist, Lyric’s condition lessened. Impressed with the results, his father, who is strongly committed to entrepreneurship, immediately decided that Lyric should have his own brand to start helping others get the relief he did.

Since the official launch of Lyric’s Lather at Conu’co Market on May 22, 2022, the father-son duo has been a hit. The two are having fun, meeting people, introducing the products and bonding both as father and son and as businessmen. Jonathan says, “I love this brand because of its authenticity. We actually solved a problem and now we want to share the solution with the world. We’re building something that we hope will grow with Lyric, just something to give him the experience. I have very high expectations for Lyric’s Lather, I can see it being a global brand.”

Jonathan, who is a skincare fanatic, pays extreme attention to every detail and Lyric has been hugely involved in the formulation of the brand since its inception. The soaps offered come in six different shapes, all selected by Lyric.

Jonathan told Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) that, with his business background in entrepreneurship and small business management from Ryerson University in Canada, all his training can be passed to Lyric in little nuggets as they interact with the brand. Lyric’s Lather offers a variation of products inclusive of a Coconut Oats and Goat’s Soap, Premium Oatmeal Soap, Herb Infused Baby Oil, Gentle Foaming Hair and Body Wash, Soothing Oatmeal Milk Bath, Gentle Bubble Bath, Baby Bug Bar, Baby Bum Balm, Body Butter and Gentle Laundry Detergent.

The full line of products from Lyric’s Lather is available at The Alchemist Pharmacy at 20 Hillcrest Avenue and The Life Store at 144 Constant Spring Road.

The Baby Bug Bar is versatile because it is a lotion bar with repellant qualities. This product cuts down on waste and eliminates the possibility of getting repellant in the baby’s eyes or mouth. (Photo: Courtesy of Gianna Fakhourie)
The Soothing Baby Bath Milk is the most luxurious product from the collection. This bath milk will leave the skin feeling soft and smooth. The Soothing Baby Bath Milk also immediately relieves eczema flare-ups. (Photo: Courtesy of Gianna Fakhourie)
