Store clerk charged with robbery with aggravation
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Sasha Grant, a 25-year-old store clerk of Callaloo Mews has been charged with malicious destruction of property and robbery with aggravation following an incident on Rainford Road, Kingston 13 on Saturday, June 11.
According to reports from the Hunts Bay police, Grant along with a few accomplices held up and robbed a victim of her iPhone 8+ cellular phone valued at $70,000, a sound blast monitor box valued at $30,000 and cash amounting to $49,000.
She is also accused of throwing stones into the victim’s business establishment causing damage to the glass doors amounting to $17,000.
Grant and her accomplices then made their escape in a Nissan Tida motorcar, the police said.
She was arrested on Monday, June 13 and charged on Friday, June 17.
A court date for Grant has not yet been set.
