National Trials: Clayton, Davison win junior 100m titles
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Edwin Allen’s Tina Clayton established a new national junior record as she clocked an impressive 10.96 to win the girls’ 100m at the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) National Championships at the National Stadium on Friday.
Clayton lowered the record from Briana Williams’ 10.97 in 2021.
Meanwhile, Serena Cole ran her lifetime best, clocking 11.13 for second with Tia Clayton third in 11.25.
In the boys’ 100m, Sandrey Davison of St Catherine caught the fast-starting Bouwahjgie Nkrumie of KC on the line. Davison won in a personal best 10.20 with Nkrumie second with 10.22. Mark-Anthony Daley of Herbert Morrison was third in 10.51.
