Jamaica trails Dom Rep at half time in U-20 CONCACAF Champs
SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras — Jamaica trails the Dominican Republic 1-0 at half time in their crucial CONCACAF Under-20 men’s Championships quarterfinal game at the Olimpico Metropolitano in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
Angel Enmanuel Montes de Oca Genoa gave the Dominican Republic the lead after just nine minutes when he ran through the Jamaican defense and shot past the diving goalkeeper, Coniah Boyce-Clarke.
Jamaica could have been down 2-0 but Edison Azcona’s 41st minute strike was ruled to have been offside.
The winner of this game will join hosts Honduras and the United States in the Under-20 World Cup.
