ST BESS TO GET ‘DRENCHHED’
Chantele “DJ Nova” Roye, conceptualiser of foam and water event ‘Drenchhed’, says its return will be something memorable for patrons.
“To be honest, I almost forgot about everything that goes into planning, promoting, and executing events. After two years of lockdown I can truly say it’s great to be back. And Drenchhed will be bigger, better than ever,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
The event is scheduled for Roye’s Plaza in Junction, St Elizabeth, tomorrow from 2:00 pm to midnight. Entertainment will be provided by Team Shella, A Team, Jhonny Kool, Crawbi, and Nova.
The event promoter says provisions will be made for all patrons, whether they choose the VIP or general area.
“We will be reintroducing the elevated cabanas and the VIP will be food inclusive. The general area will have the foam and water experience along with a dry zone, while the VIP and cabanas will be super exclusive,” she explained.
DJ Nova, who is also a disc jockey on Fyah 105 – an affiliate of the Observer, says the planning and execution process has been quite hectic, however, she is determined to deliver.
“I would say planning took two months. Non-stop calls, meetings, planning, and organising, but in the end it’s all worth it. A lot of people don’t know or even realise how much work goes into events, no matter how small or large. It takes a lot out of you, so big up all the promoters cause I know it isn’t easy,” she said.
DJ Nova is encouraging everyone to come out for the experience.
“People should attend to #GetDrenchhed. The party caters to different types of people and overall it’s an exhilarating and exciting experience for everyone. Straight high-energy partying from the gates open at 2:00 pm,” she said.
