Post-Soca soak

IF you partied a little too much and the body is crying out for more than just an extra hour or two in bed, don’t worry: Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) has you covered with five at-home treatments using the all-new line of scented Ayrtons Epsom Salts.

Made with 100 per cent pure, pharmaceutical-grade epsom salt (magnesium sulfate USP) and 100 per cent pure essential oils, Ayrtons scented epsom salts provide myriad health and wellness benefits. The pure mineral in epsom salts is widely known for its ability to reduce swellings and relieve muscle soreness and aches — which makes it an ideal treatment for socaphiles and indeed anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet.

Plus, esssential oils provide a therapeutic effect and are known to ease anxiety, boost energy, remove toxins and basically make you feel so much better.

The four types are:

Lavender — soothes tired and aching muscles, thus promoting a better night’s sleep.

Eucalyptus-Mint — soothes tired and aching muscles, speeds muscle recovery and helps reduce injuries.

Citrus Blend — soothes tired and aching muscles while energising the senses and rejuvenating the body.

Lemongrass — soothes tired and aching muscles while cleansing and protecting the body.

The Eucalyptus-Mint scent is the perfect post-carnival relax and relief formula.

Here’s how to get your soak on!

Soak away sore muscles: Add two cups of Lavender Scented Ayrtons Epsom Salts to warm bath water. Release the calming aroma of eucalyptus to relieve stress and soreness. Soak for at least 20 minutes, allowing the rich minerals to penetrate the skin.

Exfoliate your skin: Mix two tablespoons of Ayrtons Epsom Salts with a handful of your favourite body wash. Gently massage mixture onto skin to slough away dry patches. Up the experience with any of the Ayrtons Epsom Salt Suga Scrubs.

Foot soak: Mix one cup of Ayrtons Epsom Salts with warm water in a foot bath and soak for 10 minutes to help soothe aches and soften rough skin.

Sunburn reliever: Forgot to slather on sufficient SPF on Sunday and feeling the effects of sunburn now? No worries! Mix epsom salts and water in a spray bottle and spritz the affected area.

Lip treatment: Make an epsom salts scrub by combining the granules with coconut oil and rubbing the mixture onto lips. Remove with a warm, damp cloth and follow with an application of lip balm.
