PHOTOS: Bass Odyssey wins Reggae Sumfest Global Sound Clash

ST JAMES, Jamaica – Pier 1 car park in Montego Bay came alive for the return of the Reggae Sumfest Global Sound Clash last Thursday.

The Guinness-sponsored event saw sound system royalties go head-to-head for the coveted title of Global Sound Clash champions for 2022.

Memorable performances were put on by Bass Odyssey, Silver Hawk, Exodus Nuclear, Warrior Sound, and Mystic Sound. In a nail-biting face-off to the end, it was St Ann-based sound system, Bass Odyssey, that reigned supreme and earned the ultimate bragging rights. Warrior Sound came a close second while Silver Hawk was third.

The sound clash had everyone swaying all night long to a number of musical legends, hosted by Pretty Boy Floyd.

Best friends Adrene Binns (right) and Gemlyn Coote were all smiles at the soudclash.

Mystic Sound did not go down without a fight at the sound clash.

“Jamaica is the place to be” said Guinness superfan Callum Thorn.

Guinness brand ambassadors De Andra Peterkin(left) and Fabian Lewis had the moves like Jagger.
