Ministry of Health recognises COVID-19 donor partners
On Friday, the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) brought Healthcare Workers Appreciation Month to a close with a banquet at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel. The event recognised the donor partners who assisted our nation in weathering the novel coronavirus pandemic, considered “the worst in a century”.
Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Christopher Tufton acknowledged the support of overseas governments, local ministries and agencies, along with private sector organisations. “You have seen Jamaica as a worthy partner,” said Tufton. The journey to bring the nation out of the worst days of the pandemic saw the stellar contribution of numerous health-care and front-line workers, collaborators, and stakeholders. “Partnerships make us all stronger,” said the minister.
