Major Riley says it all
Trinidadian-born singer Major Riley is going all-out to promote his latest five-song EP, Say It Say It, which leans heavily on dancehall influences.
“The Live Your Life track speaks of doing the right thing via your ethics and in the song. I am using the lifestyle of the great philosophers and musicians of our time as an example to the rest of us trying to bring some significance to our lives. The video will be released in September,” Major Riley said.
Major Riley is credited as executive producer, through his label Major Records HD, as well as the Jamaican-based label, Power Icon. The EP will be officially released this month.
In addition to the title track, some of the other songs are Live Your Life, and the socially conscious Black Lives Matter.
“I am trying to make a genuine artistic statement with this work, and I believe the world will appreciate the message I am trying to convey,” Major Riley said.
Born on November 6, 1962 in the Sanger Grande community of Trinidad and Tobago, Major Riley is a multi-genre artiste whose wealth of talent allows him to combine dancehall, soca and roots reggae.
In 1996, Riley rose to prominence with his debut track Signs Of The Time and since then has maintained a career spanning 27 years of consistent production.
