Social media video not of Kingston woman’s killing – cops
Police say a viral video purportedly showing Monday’s killing of a woman on Hagley Park Road in St Andrew, is not of that incident.
The video, which has gone viral on several social media platforms, was embedded in a Jamaica Observer footage of Monday’s crime scene at the intersection of Hagley Park and Rainford roads.

In the viral video, a man is seen shooting a woman in her face before she falls to the ground. He headed back to a red SUV when someone, believed to be the person recording, screamed, and the video ended.
But the head of the St Andrew South police, Senior Superintendent Kirk Ricketts, said the killing being shown on social media was different from the one in the division.
“We don’t know anything of that video,” SSP Ricketts told OBSERVER ONLINE. “The person who was killed (on Monday) does not match that description.”
Detectives at the Hunts Bay CIB are still searching for clues to unearth the circumstances surrounding Monday’s killing of the woman, who has since been identified as Claudine Murray Davis, 57, a janitor from Kingston 11.
At the time of her death, Murray Davis was clad in a yellow blouse, blue jeans and a pair of black slippers. She sported a ‘sister locks’ hairstyle.
Reports are that about 1:20 pm, the police were called to the area where residents heard explosions, and Murray Davis was found with gunshot wounds.
She was assisted to the hospital, where she died while being treated. Investigators are urging anyone with information that can assist them to contact the Hunts Bay Police at 876-923-6111, Crime Stop at 311, the police 119 number or the nearest police station.
