Sabina Park gets ‘Lit’ up

A change in venue to Sabina Park on South Camp Road in Kingston worked wonders for Bonz Entertainment, promoters of Lit Same Flame.

Held last Saturday, Lit Same Flame attracted a large turnout of patrons who partied till the wee hours of Sunday morning.

“The event was simply amazing! I mean, we had no doubt that the turnout would be so great. Although we had to change venue at the last minute, the move to Sabina Park turned out to be a smart one, as our patrons had a way bigger venue to enjoy themselves,” said Odean Bernard, Bonz Entertainment member.

The event was initially planned for the National Stadium’s parking lot in St Andrew. The turnout was by far bigger than the previous staging held in May.

“We definitely saw a bigger turnout for this staging, and the growth of the brand is undeniable. We had several VIPs in attendance and public figures including politicians and well-known businessmen enjoying this brilliant event that we executed, again,” Bernard added.

The DJs who provided the music were Mandeville’s Ultimate Shane, DJ Mac, Bishop Escobar, and Laing D.

“While the entire event was blazing with excitement, the highlight of Saturday night was definitely the firework show that we put on at the peak of the event. Patrons were not expecting it and so the element of surprise coupled with the aesthetic appeal will be remembered by all those who attended,” said Bernard.

“The experience is definitely what keeps our Lit patrons coming back. We tell people, we don’t sell the idea of a party to our patrons, we sell the experience that you simply cannot get at any other party. We listen to our patrons, we conduct our research before and after each staging, and we execute with feedback in mind as we constantly aim to deliver a better staging than the last, each time. I think they are also aware of our humility and willingness to satisfy their expectations, at all costs,” he continued.

Hot newcomer Valiant, who currently has two trending songs, St Mary and North Carolina, held the crowd with a workmanlike performance.

“It was great to be performing at Lit. It definitely was a great experience, and I loved the energy from the fans,” he stated.

Valiant continued, “Mi never surprised at the response from the fans. They know the songs and it was also their first time seeing me perform.”

Internet sensation Ziddy also made a guest appearance.

The next Lit event will be Lit Brunch on December 4 in Kingston, while Lit Chick Flick is scheduled for February 2023.
