If he does these things, he’s not serious about you

If he does these things, he’s not serious about you

MOST men do not verbalise their feelings, but a man who is serious about you will let you know. If he doesn’t say it with words, you will know by his actions.

Knowing if a man is serious about you is not rocket science. The truth is, often we see the signs that indicate that a man has no desire to take the relationship to the next level but, nevertheless, we buckle down and wait for him to change. Sadly, for the most part, he will not.

Women are emotional creatures, so when we love we can become blinded by our emotions and miss the big red flags that a man might like something about us, but he is not interested in anything serious.

Here are some signs that will help you identify when a man is just not serious about you.

He doesn’t introduce you to the people who matter to him and he has no interest in meeting your friends and family

When a man isn’t serious about you, he keeps you away from his inner circle because he does not want to introduce you to the people who matter to him. So you will find that you are dating him for a while and still have not met or been formally introduced to his friends and family, and he has not expressed interest in meeting your friends and family.

A man treasures a woman who means something to him and when he treasures you, he wants to show you off to those who are closest to him. This is because he values you and sees you as part of his future so he is ensuring that his inner circle knows that you are in his life for the long term.

He does not want to define the relationship

A man usually knows very early in the relationship if he wants to marry you because most men know what they are looking for in a wife. If he still refuses to put a label on the relationship after you have been dating for a while, it is likely that he is not serious about you.

If he still doesn’t want to introduce you to people as “my girlfriend” and gets uncomfortable or finds excuses when you put him on the spot about it, it’s because he does not want something serious with you. Men who do not like to put a label on the relationship will say things like, “Oh, you know you’re special, why do we need to label what we have?” That’s because he might be telling you he’s good with you, but saying something different to others.

Quite likely he is with you because you are meeting some of his needs but he is still searching. Be careful not to become a long-term convenience because the moment he sees what he wants, he is going to leave you.

He’s still entertaining other women

A man who refuses to establish boundaries with other women while he is dating you is not serious about you. When a man is serious about a woman, the natural male instincts to provide and protect kicks in. When he is openly entertaining other women who are interested in him, such as texting them, talking to them on the phone in front of you, and making himself available to do errands for them, he is not serious about you. A man who cares about your feelings will want to protect you; that’s the natural male instinct. Protecting you is not limited to looking out for your physical safety, it also means he cares how you feel and wants to protect you from emotional pain. A man who is serious about you wants to protect your peace of mind, he will not blatantly entertain other women. If he’s doing so, he is not serious about you.

He avoids talking to you about his future plans

When a man is serious about a woman, he sees her as a part of his future, and when he sees her as part of his future, he will want to have conversations with her about his future plans. If he is not engaging you in conversations about what he wants to do with his life, his plans for the long-term, and how he sees you fitting into that picture, he is not serious about you.

Don’t be fooled. A man likes to receive attention, admiration, and adulation from the woman he loves. Admiration and adulation come when he shares his plans, goals, and aspirations with you. He wants to hear you say things like, “Wow, that’s great honey. I like the way you think.”

When he does not share his future plans and engage you in these types of conversations, it’s because he does not see you as a part of those plans, and if he doesn’t, then it simply means he is not serious about you.

He doesn’t spend quality time with you

When a man is serious about you, he wants to spend quality time talking to you and doing things with and for you. No matter how busy he is, he will make time for you because he sees you as a priority. If a man does not treat you like a priority, it means you are just an option for him.

If he is only available for quick “doctor’s” visits, popping in just long enough for sex and no cuddle time, he is not serious about you.

Nothing is wrong with wanting to give a relationship time to evolve, but it is imperative that you not only see the signs that a relationship is on the path to nowhere, but you must also know when to walk away.
