Business Social – November 16
In recent years, Jamaica’s Muslim community has been getting more vocal about its practices and businesses and on Sunday, they gathered at The Summit (formerly Knutsford Court Hotel) in New Kingston, St Andrew, for an empowerment seminar and business expo. At that event, they showcased Muslim businesses in the country and pressed for other entrepreneurs to target the growing halal business market, not only in Jamaica, but worldwide. It’s a market, which they point out, is projected to reach US$3.5 trillion by 2023. Business Social has highlights of the event.
