France has won the World Cup twice — in 1998 and 2018. Popular sound system selector and disc jockey Shukkle Bus is betting on the team to retain their title this year.

“I think France will win the World Cup. It’s the team that I support,” he said in an interview with the Jamaica Observer.

His favourite members of the French squad are strikers Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe.

“Both Mbappe and Benzema are in great form at di moment an’ Benzema is di current best player at di moment,” said Shukkle Bus.

Mbappe, a forward, is renowned for his dribbling skills, exceptional speed and finishing. Benzema is just as lethal.

Shukkle Bus, whose real name is Junior McGregor, is popular on the party scene. Among the events he has played are Waterworl at Mas Camp, Fashion and Brunch in Miami and Shades in Ewarton.

Originally from West Kingston, he played Manning Cup for his alma mater, Denham Town High.

“I played midfield for Denham Town High in the Manning Cup and I also represented my community of Tivoli Gardens in football,” Shukkle Bus disclosed.
