No animosity towards Brysco, says Jahshii
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The management team of dancehall star Jahshii is refuting reports of a physical altercation between the deejay and fellow artiste Brysco at the recently held Ghetto Splash in St Andrew.
A video making the rounds on social media shows what appears to be some discontent between the artistes’ camps at the event, but Jahshii’s handlers insist that there is no ‘beef’.
“We want to make it vehemently clear that the above assertions are false and malicious, as at no point was Jahshii involved in a conflict. Admittedly, he was at the event performing for approximately fifteen minutes when his set was suddenly interrupted by fellow entertainer Brysco, who was asked respectfully by Jahshii to exit the stage so he could complete his performance. Unfortunately, his refusal led to a skirmish with an on-stage observer, which was quickly brought under control by the event’s security detail,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, Jahshii, whose real name is Mluleki Tafari Clarke, expressed regret at the incident that tainted his set and sought to assure that he holds no animosity towards Brysco, despite the spat.
Jahshii’s management team also expressed gratitude to organisers for the opportunity to perform.
“We want to extend our gratitude to the organisers and the fans for another successful staging of Ghetto Splash as we collectively aim to elevate dancehall and unite the entertainment community.”
