Correctional Services and Dilston All-Star are set to battle for supremacy when they meet in the grand finale of the 2022 Winners Domino Christmas League at the Rae’s Water Store, Waterhouse today.

Match time is 7:00 pm.

Correctional Services defeated Marverley/Shady Tree 200-177 in their semi-final match on Wednesday, while Dilston All-Star got the better of Trendsetter 200-168 on Thursday. Both semi-finals were played at the Waterhouse Domino Club.

Both teams have been outstanding throughout the tournament, so an exciting battle is expected between Correctional Services and Dilston All-Star. Both teams have played each other in the preliminary stage of the competition, with both Correctional Services and Dilston All-Star coming away with a victory apiece.

Meanwhile, it was Trendsetter who posted the first two points of the match, but Dilston All-Star levelled the scoring at 2-2 before stamping their authority. Dilston All-Star opened up a 10-point lead on their opponents (34-24), which they kept for most of the first half. Trendsetter fought back bravely, and at one point cut the deficit to three points at 36-39, before Dilston All-Star found momentum and ended the half at 101-92 with a nine-point lead.

On the resumption, Dilston All-Star never gave up their gallop and romped home easily by 32 points in the end to book their ticket to the final.

Based on their semi-finals performance, Dilston All-Star are given the edge to win.
