Clarendon man shot dead in cow pasture
CLARENDON, Jamaica — One man was shot dead and another escaped injury during an attack by gunmen in Rhymesbury district in Clarendon on Friday afternoon.
Dead is 23-year-old Nicardo Reid otherwise called Bugo, a resident of Rhymesbury district.
Police report that around 2:15 pm, Reid and the other man were in a pasture tending to a herd of cows when they were attacked by three men on foot armed with handguns.
Police said the men chased them and opened gunfire hitting Reid and killing him on the spot. The other man escaped.
Reid’s body was taken to the May Pen Hospital where it was confirmed dead.
Four 9mm spent shells were found by police who processed the crime scene.
