The Cloth For Island Magnolia

Trinidad’s much-adored label, The Cloth, has found a home at Island Magnolia, Harmony Hall, in a match made in style heaven.

Claiming space as one of the region’s most imaginative brands, The Cloth’s distinctive shapes and textures celebrate a Caribbean aesthetic that is thoughtfully bold and elegant with unique architectural expressions. All manufacturing happens at the brand’s atelier in Belmont, Trinidad & Tobago.

“It’s good to be back in Jamaica for me and The Cloth,” said designer Robert Young. “This visit is the first stop of our international tour this year.”

“The Cloth is just the brand we were thinking about when we conceptualised Island Magnolia,” said Suzanne Rousseau, principal of the two-year-old fashion and home goods destination. “We wanted to be the place for stand-out designers confident in expressing an authentic Caribbean narrative through fine craftsmanship.”

Young and his impeccable designs will feature at Island Magnolia’s Meet the Designer series, Saturday, January 28 to Sunday, January 29. “Come out, let’s talk, lime, look and share in my sorrel coffee pepper drink and catch yuh self,” he said.
