Popcaan on hot streak
Popcaan continues his winning ways with We Caa Done, the lead single from his recently released album Great is He.
We Caa Done, which also features Drake, has risen to 37 on the Official UK Singles chart, giving the deejay his second highest-charting single on that chart since his collaboration Kisses for Breakfast with Melissa Steel peaked at 10 in 2014.
We Caa Done rises from 25 to 18 in its third week on the UK Official Hip Hop and R&B Singles chart.
In New Zealand, We Caa Done peaked at five, three weeks ago, which reached as far as number four in The Netherlands.
On the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, We Caa Done steps up from 66 to 58.
We Caa Done, a part of Popcaan’s fifth studio album Great is He, was released on January 27 via OVO Sound. It has 17 tracks, including the collaborations Next to Me featuring Toni-Ann Singh, Aboboyaa featuring Burna Boy and St Thomas Native featuring Chronic Law. Other tracks include Defend the Struggle, Freshness, Skeleton Cartier, and Cry Fi Ya Baby.
Dane Ray, Anju Blaxx, The FaNaTiX, Dre Skull and Demario Duncan are credited as producers.
On the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Legend by Bob Marley and the Wailers clocks 159 non-consecutive weeks in the number one spot, while Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection remains at number two.
Sean Paul’s Dutty Classics Collection inches up to three, while Greatest Hits by UB40 is at four.
Stick Figure‘s Wisdom, World on Fire, and Set in Stone are five, six, and seven, respectively, while Damian “Jr Gong” Marley’s Welcome to Jamrock re-enters at eight.
Outside by Burna Boy inches up to nine, while Count Me In by Rebelution revisits the chart at 10.
On the South Florida Reggae chart, Kashief Lindo takes over the number one spot with Coldest Days of My Life.
Ed Robinson’s This is Your Day steps up from eight to six, while Sometimes When We Touch by King Banton rides from 19 to 15.
Just say Yes, by Terry Linen, is the only new entry at number 23.
On the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart, I Need Your Love by Beres Hammond is the new number one.
La La by Worl-A-Girl bolts from 13 to eight, while Officially by Lenn Hammond and Hugh Brown glides from 18 to 15.
This week’s new entries are Just Say Yes (number 28) by Terry Linen and Desperate Lover (number 29) by Tarrus Riley.
