Sizzla, Beenie, Capleton for Reggae Month free show on Friday

As Reggae Month draws to a close, music lovers will be given a major treat with a show featuring major dancehall stars Beenie Man, Capleton and Sizzla.

The fact that the show is free makes the treat even sweeter.

The show, dubbed ‘Salute to Dancehall, will feature heavyweights such as Sizzla, Beenie Man, Capleton, Mr Lexx, Peter Metro, Macka Diamond, and Singing Melody. The artistes will be backed by the Ruff Kut band,

“It’s going to be a great event. These are the major exponents of our art form for the past two decades, and they are all amazing acts that are still in their prime. Macka Diamond is representing the female side of things and she is the lone female act on the show. We are expecting an outstanding show,” Orlando Sinclair, artiste liaison and logistics representative of the show, said.

The show will be held at Mas Camp in the National Stadium complex on Friday, February 24th.

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange had promised that Reggae Month 2023 would have live events across the country for the entire month of February and has delivered on that pledge.

This year the theme of Reggae Month is “Reigniting Reggae’s Legacy.
