ACP Chambers recommends public order restoration drive for Hanover
LUCEA, Hanover – Commanding Officer for the Area One police, Assistant Commissioner Clifford Chambers is advocating for a public order restoration drive for Hanover to address sweeping challenges affecting the parish.
Addressing the general meeting of the Hanover Lay Magistrates Association in Lucea on Thursday, Chambers bemoaned that Hanover is beset by public order challenges in its various townships and in particular the parish capital, Lucea.
“A combination of major and minor crimes in these locations have been cause for concern from all sectors within the division, which, if left unchecked, has the capacity to stall the growth and development of the parish,” ACP Chambers noted.
He expressed the need for a public/private sector partnership, in collaboration with the security forces, as the key to restoring law and order in the townships.
