West Kingston man shot, injured
Police have named a person of interest following the shooting and injuring of a man in Denham Town, West Kingston, on Tuesday.
The man was reportedly shot while he conversed with a group of people in the community.
Investigators have listed a man known as Shem as a person of interest in connection with the attack and are asking him to visit the Denham Town Police Station immediately.
It was reported that around 2:15 pm, the now-injured man was standing in front of Building B in Golden Heights, Denham Town talking with friends when a man approached.
Police said the man walked up to the complainant, pulled a gun from his waistband and shot him several times in the lower body. The gunman then fled on foot in the area.
The injured man was assisted by the police to hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.
Police have not yet issued a motive for the attack.
