Cop shot during attempted robbery at ATM in St Catherine

A cop was shot moments ago at an ATM along the Old Harbour Road in St Catherine in what is believed to be an attempted robbery.

OBSERVER ONLINE understands that the lawman has been transported to hospital and is undergoing surgery.

Reports are that during the incident, the assailants fired several shots at the cop. He reportedly returned fire, hitting one of the would-be robbers.

The injured man is reportedly now in police custody.
