(KINGSTON, Jamaica) – Just what is a ‘blessed body’? For that answer, you will have to turn to gospel artiste Minister Marion Hall, who seems to be pulling on her dancehall roots with her latest single celebrating the sanctity and contours of one’s natural God-given body, no enhancements or surgeries.

“It’s a song bringing awareness to the fact that God created our bodies, so perfectly, but we choose to put on and take off what we feel like, which sometimes causes us our lives,” Minister Hall explained in a Facebook post.

With all the Internet chatter about cosmetic surgery and enhanced booties, Hall seems to be making an important statement about loving oneself and not conforming to other people’s definitions of beauty and desire.

“Love it or hate it. This is a blessed body,” Minister Hall wrote, as she posted the cover art of her own ‘God-blessed body’.

There are some schools of thought that believe the song may be a subtle dig directed towards dancehall artiste Spice whose recent health scare and cosmetic surgery enhancements have lit up gossip networks all over the web.

One social media user wrote: “I’m done with her. She’s no minister, and even a blind man can see that. Spice not perfect but one thing, she don’t start but she will finish it. This is how it plays out each time. Expected better from you as an elder and member in the church. Will not be purchasing any song.”

Another social media user seemed to be already salivating about Spice’s expected response writing: “Love Marion but she’s good at throwing sideline shade at Spice. Now you’re gonna see mix-up start when Spice responds lol”.

Minister Hall’s fans also chimed in with glee, with one writing: “Minister Marion Hall, you can tell your detractors to come kiss up your Bible because God has got your back.”
