QQ to go on tour
Come April 1, dancehall entertainer QQ will be heading on tour—his first since the coronavirus pandemic has subsided.
The singjay anticipates that the slew of performances will satisfy his enthusiastic fans.
“As usual, I aim to give people a good show. With this tour, I want to leave them wanting more than just a good show, but demanding of the industry on a whole to present only good shows,” QQ said, adding that all bookings were powered by Francis Management.
April kicks off in Virginia Beach in the United States before heading to St Ann, Jamaica for an April 10 performance. Subsequently, the entertainer heads to Miramar Florida on April 15, Freeport, New York on April 22, Oswego New York on April 29 and San Diego, California on April 30.
May 21 will see him in Vancouver, Canada, while fans in Sweden will get a chance to see him live on June 16 and July 14. QQ will then head to Pickering in Canada on July 15. On August 28, he will be in London, and then Hempstead, New York on September 1. The following day, he will be at Fredericton, Canada.
Despite the challenges, the One Drop artiste has been pulling out all the stops to ensure that fans get the highest quality experience.
“The fact that I haven’t gone on tour in such a long time due to COVID, most of my dates during COVID or after COVID were spot dates. So now, after not performing on a consistent basis, I found myself rebuilding the breath control that was there prior. It’s gonna be back there once the consistency is there,” he explained.
He further explained that while he is open to performing across the globe, Jamaican stages will always be dear to his heart.
“I’m not biased towards any country. I enjoy going everywhere. But, for some reason, you always want Jamaica to be a part of it because nothing feels better than when you perform at home,” QQ said.
The entertainer started in the music business as a pre-teen. He is known for songs including Poverty, Never Know The Use and Tip Pon Yuh Toe. His most recent releases are The Struggle Is Real and All I Want.
He is encouraging as many fans as possible to see him live at one of his shows.
“Come out to the shows. Come have a good time listening to real reggae/dancehall music,”QQ said.
