Kirk-Anthony Hamilton-led Infiniti Partnership will again enlist global and local business leaders to explore investment opportunities in the island at The Visionaries’ Summit, which returns after a four year-hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The networking and investment forum will see chairman of the Sandals and ATL groups Adam Stewart joining Dr Mark Mobius of Mobius Capital Partners; McKinsey & Company Chief Technology Officer Jacky Wright; and former NBA player and actor Rick Fox — who is the co-founder and CEO of Partanna Global — as part of a line-up of prestigious speakers and panellists.

Jamaican founders Sherese Soares of HarbourView Capital and Dr Tricia Bailey of Bailey’s Medical Equipment and Supplies, Massy Holdings CEO Gervase Warner, and Guyanese-American technologist Richard Etwaru will also be participants at this year’s staging of Visionaries’ Summit, set to take place April 19-20, 2023 at The Summit (formerly Knutsford Court Hotel) in the Corporate Area.

Hosted under the theme ‘Reinvention in a Post Pandemic World: Globalization, Innovation and Digitalization in the New Economy’, the conference will explore topics such as climate risk and ESG investing; smart infrastructure, electric mobility and the intelligent enterprise; fintech and innovation: cashless society; private equity and the future of finance/investment; and innovations in real estate and hospitality.

“The world has transformed before our eyes over the last few years and we have had to evolve alongside it. Our current content will focus on new challenges and opportunities facing our world, our region and most specifically, Jamaica,” Hamilton told Jamaica Observer.

The Visionaries’ Summit is a platform that brings together industry leaders and entrepreneurs from around the world to share their insights, experiences, and ideas with a view to inspire and educate individuals who are committed to creating a better future for themselves and their communities.

In addition to featuring keynote speeches and panel discussions, the event provides attendees with networking opportunities.

Since its inception, The Visionaries’ Summit has seeded in excess of US$400 million in investment deals in Jamaica and the Caribbean across the finance, real estate, energy, health care, technology, and creative sectors.

As such, Hamilton noted, “We are working on solving a number of problems through our content. Key is positioning and enabling our private sector to better advance global partnerships and investments. An example would be current challenges facing our insurance sector where issues such as climate change are affecting how companies report to global reinsurers, creating room for a crisis much like our correspondent banking situation.”

Past speakers at the conference include Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley, Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson, New Fortress CEO Wes Edens, NCB Financial Group Chairman Michael Lee-Chin, and British businessman Chris Blackwell.
