Jamaica Liquor Warehouse’s Asian Menu Hits All The Right Notes

Jamaica Liquor Warehouse Managing Director Nesha Smith Hoo Kim wants to let you in on a little secret. Asian-inspired cuisine has entered the group chat, and epicureans are abuzz.

Back story: Months ago Hoo Kim participated in a wine tasting of Harbour Wines & Spirits’ growing portfolio. The Grace Foods-led wine business had invited the Jamaica Liquor Warehouse boss to see, swirl, sniff, sip, and savour the newest additions to their portfolio. “We had a tasting, and that’s what sparked all of this. Because we said these wines need to be highlighted with their very own menu,” explained Hoo Kim.

The ‘all of this’ she speaks of? A Jamaica Liquor Warehouse x Harbour Wines & Spirits Asian-inspired luncheon. The event, held last Wednesday, April 5, at the eatery’s Lindsay Crescent location, saw Hoo Kim and Harbour Wines & Spirits – Grace Foods Brand Manager Kaydene Senior welcoming nine guests eager to witness chef Kamone Francis transform fresh produce into a tantalising four-course menu that hit all the right notes.

Hoo Kim is particularly excited about the chicken katsu and even suggests it may secure a spot on the restaurant’s main menu.

Eager to try Jamaica Liquor Warehouse’s new Asian menu? You’ll have to wait for the menu’s May debut. Until then, live vicariously through a few lucky guests.
