Bacchanal J’ouvert 2023

The combination of paint and soca remains a staple at Bacchanal J’Ouvert and socaphiles would have it no other way. The annual event, staged last Friday at Mas Camp, left patrons, according to street parlance, ‘owing nothing!’ With 24 hours left to Carnival Road March patrons were in the mood to soak it all up. They absolutely did!

With Trini soca artiste Nailah Blackman, along with Vincentian singer Skinny Fabulous as the event’s guest performers and DJs Barrie Hype, Ova Dose, Sinistar, Tyler, Patrick The Hypeman, Franco, and Brush1 The Road Marshal, there was sufficient reason to get on bad.
