Clarendon man allegedly stabs woman in neck after accusing her of theft
CLARENDON, Jamaica – A man was taken into police custody following the stabbing of a 53-year-old woman he accused of stealing his money in May Pen, Clarendon on Sunday.
The man, 49, was taken into custody after he was reportedly held by residents and handed over to the police.
Reports are that around 12:30 pm, the man went to the home of the woman about money that was said to be stolen from his house and an argument developed between them.
Police said during the argument, a knife was used to stab the woman in her neck. She was rushed to hospital and admitted in serious condition.
The alleged stabber was accosted by members of the community and handed over to the police. He was arrested on reasonable suspicion pending further investigations.
