#PennRelays: Edwin Allen only Jamaican school into girls’ 4x800m final

PHILADELPHIA, USA – Defending champions Edwin Allen High are the only Jamaican high school in Saturday’s final of the High School Girls Championships of Americas 4x800m at the 127th Penn Relays Carnival at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

The Edwin Allen team ran 9:17.28, the second best on the day behind Union Catholic of New Jersey who led with 9:11.26.

Surprisingly,11-time champions Holmwood Technical and Alphansus Davis High failed to make it into the top 12 as they finished down the tables.

Alphansus Davis was 18th overall in 9:29.62 while Holmwood Technical were 20th overall in 9:31.37,
