Sarah Couch talks self-love in Moisturize
“When the tea in your cup is overflowing, the journey of self-love can keep you ever glowing,” said Sarah Couch in reference to her newest single Moisturize.
The single, she added, focuses on the confidence it takes to stay true to appreciating your own individuality.
Released Friday, April 28, Moisturize is an R&B love song to self. The vibe is poetic, reflective and soulful, showcasing Sarah’s unique originality as a musician and performer.
The singer-songwriter, who was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, is no stranger to prioritising self-care through music, food and creativity.
Her mother, Suzanne Couch, was a renowned jazz singer and caterer in Kingston and was loved for her ability to deeply connect with audiences.
Sarah says her mother’s influence of nurturing the soul through food and music pours into her intimate and ethereal sound today.
In the video, also out on April 28, Sarah shares the meaning behind her rhythmic expression. Set in the dewy hills of Kingston, Jamaica, and shot by Fernando Hevia, the visuals are a personal look at Couch’s gentle, self-care routine, and a soft reminder to love oneself through any weather.
Moisturize is the third single from Sarah Couch’s upcoming EP What Do We Know, in collaboration with Delicious Vinyl Island and 12Yaad Records.
