WATCH: ‘Dat a too much’ public says of politicians’ salary increase
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Following the Government’s announcement that Cabinet Members and Parliamentarians will receive a significant increase in their salaries, OBSERVER ONLINE took to the streets of the Corporate Area to hear the views of the public.
The country’s political directorate on Tuesday announced the biggest increases in salaries in decades with the prime minister set to take home nearly $30 million per annum by next year. A near 300 per cent increase.
The common sentiment is that the increase is excessive.
