Yaadcore has released the new reggae single Mama Told Me in honour of good mothers.

In the song, the artiste pays tribute to his own mother, whom he acknowledges for her valuable guidance through the years.

The track, produced by Yaadcore and YoungZoeBeats, is set to a classic reggae-horn line, making it a perfect new addition to all reggae playlists, even with Mother’s Day in the rear view.

Yaadcore shares his appreciation for his mother’s lifelong influence, while the message sheds light on the power of mama’s good-old advice.

Mama Told Me is the newest single from Yaadcore x 12 Yaad Records, in collaboration with Delicious Vinyl Island.

On the heels of breakout singles Ready Now and The Calling, the now full-time vocalist released his debut album, Reggaeland, in March 2022.

Born Rory Cha, Yaadcore was raised in Mandeville, Jamaica, where he learned the art of “playing sound” from his father, a selector with local reggae sound system, Love People International. After first gravitating to dancehall, he found his calling within the seeds of what would come to be known as the reggae revival — a close-knit group of young singers, deejays and musicians who were blending the upful, cultural vibes of classic roots reggae with a modern approach to music-making and branding.
