Olympian Tori Bowie died from complications of childbirth – coroner’s report
Olympic gold medallist Tori Bowie was in labour when she died, according to a coroner’s report obtained by TMZ.
The 32-year-old reportedly passed away in her bed at her Florida home from the complications of childbirth on May 2. She was about 8 months pregnant and “undergoing labour” when she passed.
It is reported that Bowie’s loved ones became concerned after failing to hear from her for several days, and when cops from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrived to do a welfare check, they found her deceased in her bed.
She was eight months pregnant.

Bowie was a three-time 2016 Olympic medallist for the United States of America (USA), winning gold in the women’s 4x100m relay, silver in the 100m and bronze in the 200m.
She was the fastest woman in the world in 2017 and won the World Championships in London with a time of 10.85 seconds.
At the time of her death, tributes poured in for one of America’s biggest track and field stars with the USA Track & Field telling DailyMail they were ‘deeply saddened by the passing of Bowie.
“A talented athlete, her impact on the sport is immeasurable, and she will be greatly missed,” USATF said.
Top track athletes such as Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Noah Lyles, and Sha’Carri Richardson all mourned the loss of Bowie in posts on social media.
