Massachusetts woman found alive after being stuck in mud for over a week
A Massachusetts woman who was reported missing over a week ago was found stuck in the mud at a state park on Monday.
Thirty-one-year-old Emma Tetewsky went missing near a local pond in southeast Massachusetts on June 26.
According to an article from People Magazine, the Stoughton Police Department provided a Facebook update on Monday detailing how Tetewsky was discovered.
Officers said hikers passing through Borderland State Park heard a woman crying for help in the swamp-like area. Unable to reach Tetewsky themselves, the hikers notified the police, who came to her rescue.
ATVs, sonar, helicopters and drones were used in the search and rescue mission.
Tetewsky was conscious and alert when found. She, however, sustained serious injuries and is under observation at hospital.
