KINGSTON, Jamaica — An American woman who was shot four times in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 1, 2023, while she was reportedly waiting for a Lyft, said her injuries would have been worse if she wasn’t wearing a bodysuit from Kardashian’s popular loungewear brand — Skims.

According to an article from Page Six, Angelina Wiley went viral on TikTok after revealing details of the shooting. Wiley, who goes by Nina, said “Kim Kardashian saved my life,” revealing how she was shot on New Year’s Day.

“This New Year’s, I got shot four times. The night I got shot, under my dress, I was wearing a Skims shaping bodysuit. It was so tight on me that it literally kept me from bleeding out,” she explained as she compared the underwear to “body armor for women.”

“Call it fate or Jesus, but imma call it Kim,” Wiley said, captioning the video “no but fr, thanks kim.”

The famous Kardashian caught wind of the video which she reposted with a praying hands emoji as well as the caption, “wowww.”
