Two men charged after gun, ammo seized in Lakes Pen
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Two men have been charged after a firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized during an operation in Lakes Pen, Spanish Town, St Catherine on Saturday, July 15.
Charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition are 28-year-old Sunmar McFarlane, a mason and 34-year-old Phillip McFarlene, both of Tawes Pen, Spanish Town in the parish.
Reports from the Spanish Town police are that about 1:30 pm, the lawmen acting on intelligence conducted an operation in Lakes Pen where a premises was searched.
A Tanfoglio 9mm pistol with five 9mm rounds and four 4mm cartridges were found at the rear of the premises.
Both men were charged after a question-and-answer session.
