St Ann’s Bay Hospital lauds its staff

IN a celebration of health-care professionals, the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital organised a Health-care Workers Appreciation Day at iconic Dunn’s River Falls recently.

The event, held under the auspices of Fabia Lamm, regional director, North East Regional Health Authority, saw over 215 staff members from various departments treated to an unforgettable day.

Chief executive officer of St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital, Dennis Morgan expressed delight at the “remarkable turnout” and active participation of the staff, stating, “I am filled with immense joy witnessing the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by our exceptional staff who attended and actively engaged in this special event. Their unwavering commitment to our patients’ well-being is truly commendable.”

With the endorsement of Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Christopher Tufton, the support of the board of directors of the North East Regional Health Authority, and in collaboration with the office of the regional director, the day was convened to honour and recognise the tireless efforts, professionalism, and selflessness of health-care workers throughout the region.

It’s chilling time for staff members of St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital during a recent fun day at Dunn’s River Falls.

Lamm emphasised the significance of the occasion, stating, “Health-care Workers Appreciation Day provides us with a valuable opportunity to express our deep gratitude for the unwavering commitment and compassion demonstrated by our health-care professionals. Their contributions make a profound impact on the lives of the individuals they serve.”

The event was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and team-building activities that further strengthened the bonds among the staff. The stunning waterfall provided a breathtaking backdrop, adding to the joyous atmosphere of the day.

Throughout the event health-care workers were treated to a delightful array of engaging activities that included climbing the iconic falls, dancing on the lawn, and enjoying moments of relaxation on the beach chairs provided. These activities offered an opportunity for them to unwind, connect with colleagues from different departments, and celebrate their collective achievements in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

From conquering the falls to grooving to the music on the lawn and indulging in moments of relaxation, health-care workers embraced the spirit of camaraderie and joy that filled the day.

One staff member, who preferred to remain anonymous, shared his heartfelt gratitude for the event. He expressed, “It’s an exceptional occasion for us to be celebrated and genuinely appreciated for the work we do. This day holds great significance for us as it makes us feel truly valued and acknowledged. It’s incredibly uplifting to witness management going above and beyond to express their gratitude for our dedicated efforts.”

Dr Tanya Hamilton-Johnson, a prominent attendee and member of the hospital’s senior management team, shared, “The Health-care Workers Appreciation Day served as a powerful reminder of the vital role health-care professionals play in society. Their unwavering commitment, compassion, and resilience make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families.”

As the sun set on what to many was an unforgettable day, Morgan expressed his profound gratitude to all the staff members, stating, “I am immensely proud of our health-care team. Their unwavering dedication and exceptional work make St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital a beacon of hope and healing. I extend my deepest appreciation for their remarkable contributions, which have undoubtedly elevated the standard of care we provide.”

Lamm also shared her appreciation for the health-care workers, stating, “Our health-care professionals are the pillars of our health-care system. Their unwavering commitment and dedication to patient care are truly inspiring. Today, as we celebrate their invaluable contributions, let us reaffirm our support and gratitude for their selfless service.”

These members of staff from St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital chose this method of relaxation at Dunn’s River recently.

The Health-care Workers Appreciation Day at Dunn’s River Falls left a lasting impression on those in attendance. It reminded of the dedication and unwavering commitment of health-care workers in providing quality care to the community.

As the music faded and the day ended, the lingering spirit of appreciation and unity served as a reminder of the profound impact health-care workers, especially those at St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital, have on the lives they touch.
