A Love Prescription

A Love Prescription

On a radiant spring afternoon, April 4, 2023, the Registrar General’s Department (RGD) witnessed the heartwarming union of medical doctor Warren Dunn and Registered Nurse Stephanie Thomas. The day was elegantly captured by photographer Kamar McHugh, who documented each cherished moment between RGD and Hope Botanical Gardens.

Under the gentle guidance of officiant Wayne E A Palmer, the couple exchanged vows that echoed their unwavering commitment and love for one another. The theme of the wedding was beautifully accentuated by the chosen emerald green colour scheme, an embodiment of the couple’s vibrant journey together. The décor echoed this theme, with elegant touches that highlighted the verdant hue.

Dunn and Thomas’ journey to this day was one of destiny, patience, and enduring love. Their connection had its roots in mutual friends and family circles, fostering a strong bond that would eventually blossom into love. The two found themselves drawn closer during their university years, and what began as a genuine friendship evolved into a deep and profound partnership. Their relationship was solidified by their shared values, trust, and their unyielding faith in God.

As a testament to their playful connection, Dunn’s proposal was imbued with a touch of serendipity. Having shared numerous jokes about the moment, he chose October 7 to propose, a day that held significance for them. While his original plan was for the previous year, life had its own plans as Thomas went into labour on her birthday. Undeterred, Dunn’s determination prevailed, and on October 7, 2022, he orchestrated a picturesque proposal in the hills of St Andrew. A picnic set framed by a “Will you marry me?” sign and meticulously chosen décor set the stage for a memory they would forever cherish.

The bridal party, consisting of best friends Kerecee Abrahams and Trevaugn Morris, lent their unwavering support and joyous spirit to the celebration.

Stephanie’s gown, a breathtaking off-the-shoulder sweetheart ball gown from Bliss Bridal, exuded grace and sophistication, perfectly complementing the day’s elegance. Meanwhile, Warren and his groomsmen donned stylish suits, each highlighting their individuality.

Emerald green was also the hue of choice for the bridesmaids, who wore simple yet elegant dresses. Thomas’ bouquet, a stunning arrangement of white roses and eucalyptus, added a touch of ethereal beauty to the ceremony and photoshoot session.

Although there was no reception, the couple’s love-filled day was an unforgettable affair. Family and friends came together to celebrate the unity of Dr Warren Dunn and Nurse Stephanie Thomas, creating memories that would forever be etched in their hearts.

Their story continued beyond the ceremony, as they spent their wedding night at Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel, an enchanting beginning to their new chapter. While their honeymoon destination was yet to be explored, their journey as life partners had just begun, guided by their shared faith, trust, and the unbreakable bond they had nurtured over the years.
