Kingston farmer charged for Barbican Burger King car park murders
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 21-year-old farmer from Kingston was charged with the killing of two men during a brawl inside the parking lot of a Burger King outlet on Barbican Road in St Andrew, in 2022.
He is Shadrick Thompson, of Homestead Road.
The deceased men, Kaheem Harris and Ackeem Morgan, both of Confidence View Lane, Standpipe, were killed on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Reports from the Half- Way -Tree police are that about 6:50 am, Harris and Morgan were utilising the drive-thru at a food establishment, when an argument developed between them and other men, including Thompson, who were waiting in line. The confrontation escalated and men travelling in another motor vehicle, armed with knives and machetes joined the clash.
The men allegedly attacked Harris and Morgan and inflicted stab and chop wounds to their bodies. They were transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
An investigation was launched into the matter and Thompson was apprehended in St Mary on Wednesday, August 31. Murder charges were laid against him after an interview in the presence of his attorney on Wednesday, September 6.
Additionally, 22-year-old Garlon Holmes, otherwise called ‘Nippy’, of Norman Avenue, Kingston 2 was previously charged in connection with the incident.

Their alleged accomplices are still on the run and the police are appealing to them to turn themselves in to the nearest police station.
