KINGSTON, Jamaica— Former Ben Francis KO winner Edwin Allen got off to a big start in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup competition on Monday, beating Claude McKay High 7-1 to take the lead in Zone H.

Tajay Thomas scored twice for Edwin Allen High while Dyron-Lee Johnson, Patrick Harrion, Jayquan Johnson, Kimolar Ferron and Jovaine Dyke scored the others.

Tyieis Williams scored in the 20th minute for Kellits High to beat Thompson Town High 1-0 in their Zone H game.

Edwin Allen leads Zone H on goal-difference over defending champions Clarendon College, who were 5-0 winners over Lennon High on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Wycliffe Martin High won their opening game in the competition after edging St Mary High 1-0 in their Zone I, also on Monday, after drawing just two of their 10 games played last year.

Annotto Bay High leads the Zone after they came from a goal down to beat Iona High 4-1 at the Norando Sports Complex.
