The Best Dressed Chicken Gets an A for Back-to-School Lunches

As parents, we all know how challenging it can be to pack a nutritious and tasty lunch for our children. From picky eaters to knowing which foods travel well, there are a host of challenges; however, with some creativity and planning, conquering the back-to-school lunchtime blues is possible.

The Best Dressed Chicken suite of ready-to-cook products is a perfect solution for busy parents who need speed and convenience without sacrificing nutrition and flavour. Nuggets, Tenders, Breast Strips, and Wings are all available, each packed with the protein children need to stay energised throughout the school day.

“The Best Dressed Chicken products have been a game-changer for our family,” says Karetta Dunn Ewart. “They’re quick to prepare, and my son loves them. I feel good knowing he’s getting a balanced meal at school, and I don’t get the ‘hangry’ tantrums when I pick him up at the end of the day.”

Her son, 10-year-old Jahzain, raves about the chicken options. “I used to hate opening my lunch box, but now I can’t wait to see what my mom comes up with. It’s like having a surprise every day,” he says.

To make a lunch your kids will love, try air-frying or baking The Best Dressed Chicken products according to the package instructions. Add delicious sides like fries, rice, or mac and cheese. And remember to complete the meal with fresh fruits, vegetables, and cheese. If you’re looking for a quick and tasty lunchtime solution, look no further than The Best Dressed Chicken. Your kids will thank you.

Make this for dinner on Sunday, and you’ll have leftovers for Monday’s lunch.

Ingredients:

½ lb uncooked macaroni, about 1 ½ cups

3 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 cups milk

3/4 cup half and half

2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Method

Preheat the oven to 325°F and lightly grease a square baking dish.

Cook the macaroni to al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Blend in the flour, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.

Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly, and cook over medium-low heat for a few minutes until the mixture thickens like gravy. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup shredded cheese, stirring just until melted.

Add the cooked macaroni noodles and toss to coat. Pour half of the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese over the top. Add remaining pasta and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
