Exciting Poorlittlerichgirl Trophy in the making

The $1.4-million Poorlittlerichgirl Trophy over 7 furlongs (1,400m) is the headline event on tomorrow’s 10-race card.

The three-year-old and upward Open Allowance contest will see last year’s double Classic winner Blue Vinyl making his second start in six days.

Is That A Fact, Further and Beyond, Perfect Brew, and Jordon Reign’s are also present in the nine-horse field, making this race an interesting and entertaining event.

Former Horse of the Year Further And Beyond

The Jamaica Observer‘s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a closer look each runner and their chances of winning the Poorlittlerichgirl.

1. IS THAT A FACT (USA): (3 b c by Palace Malice – Valid Code) – Talented American-bred runner who comes into this race off three straight victories. Is That A Fact‘s most recent victory came on August 19 in the Arthur Jones Trophy, which he won by 6 lengths in a time 1:13.0. Is That A Fact competes over 7 furlongs for the first time, and based on his previous performances, he should comfortably get the distance. Is That A Fact should be back with another enjoyable run here.

2. OUTBIDDER: (4 b f by Savoy Stomp – Rumble) – So far, she’s held her own at this level. On August 26, Outbidder finished 12 lengths behind Runaway Algo and I Am Fred in the She’s A Maneater Trophy over one mile. Outtbidder should not be embarrassed in this situation.

3. REGAL AND ROYAL: (5 b h by Soul Warrior – Wap) – Has no realistic chance of winning this one.

Jordon Reign’s should be a dangerous contender here.

4. BLUE VINYL: (4 b c Bern Identity – Blufield) – Easily won the Kenneth Mattis OD Memorial Trophy by 3 ¼ lengths over 9 furlongs and 25 yards (1,820m) on Sunday, September 10. Blue Vinyl is still as effective in this class as it was in the class below at the Overnight Allowance level. Blue Vinyl should find this distance to be ideal for him, and with his excellent form, he should be able to deliver.

5. FURTHER AND BEYOND: (5 ch h by Blue Pepsi Lodge – Rumble) – Former Horse of the Year returns after an 83-day absence. Further and Beyond won the Hubert Bartley Memorial Trophy over 7 1/2 furlongs (1,500m) on June 25 by a length and a quarter. Following his return from surgery, this was Further and Beyond‘s second run of the season. Further and Beyond moves up from the Overnight Allowance level to compete here and should be in terrific shape. Further and Beyond should easily put these away based on back class.

6. D HEAD CORNERSTONE: (4 b c by Bern Identity – Soul Of The Heart) – Is going to be left behind in this one.

7. SWEET MAJESTY: (5 b m by Soul Warrior – Bitter End) – Is going to find the top contenders too hot to handle.

8. PERFECT BREW: (4 b g by Bern Identity – Moonlight Brew) – Finished a length and a half in second place behind She’s My Destiny in the Reggae Trophy over the straight (1,000m) on August 12. Perfect Brew should enjoy this trip more and could find himself in the running here.

9. JORDON REIGN’S (USA): (5 b g by Mosler – Dearie Be Good) – Was expected to figure in the recent Reggae Trophy on August 12. Jordon Reign’s was unable to land a punch and finished fifth, 11 lengths behind She’s My Destiny and Perfect Brew. That was Jordon Reign’s first run in eight months, and he may have needed it. Jordon Reigns is all than capable of winning this trophy race and is predicted to perform admirably.
