Champions Clarendon College take charge in Zone H, defeat Edwin Allen 2-0

Champions Clarendon College take charge in Zone H, defeat Edwin Allen 2-0

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Defending champions Clarendon College wrestled control of Zone H of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition after beating Edwin Allen High 2-0 in their top of the tables clash at Frankfield on Tuesday.

Both teams went into the game tied on nine points after winning their first three games but Clarendon College won their fourth straight, while ending Edwin Allen’s perfect start.

Christopher Hull in the first half and Kaheim Dixon in the second half scored for Clarendon College who are yet to concede a goal this season.

Meanwhile, Glenmuir High also won their fourth game and Charlemont High made it two wins in a row.

DeAndre Johnson scored both goals for Glenmuir High as they beat Denbigh High 2-0 and moved five points clear of the second- placed team.

Charlemont High beat Enid Bennett High 4-1 in their first game in nearly two weeks.

Annotto Bay High’s good start ended when they were beaten 6-2 by Tacky High who were led by a brace from Giovanni McLean and goals from Romario Gibbs, Deandre Jackson, Jayden Davis and Davaughnie Ellis.

Cedric Titus High rebounded from their first loss to beat Aabuthnott Gallimore High 10-0. Rashawn Small scored four times, Malik Foster got a hat-trick, while Christopher Walters, Kimarie Gordon and Devante Haughton got the others.

Ocho Rios High outscored York Castle 4-2, while Manning’s School beat Knocklava Technical 3-1 with goals from Roan Virgo, Akieme Gordon and Dainton Williams.

Munro College are the leaders in Zone E after a 7-0 beating of Roger

Clarke High and Bellefield High moved past Knox College into first place in Zone G after beating them 2-0 at Knox College.

This was back-to-back losses for Knox College who won their first three

games to start the season.
