Clarendon College and former winners Glenmuir High both took their records to four wins after 2-0 wins over Edwin Allen High and Denbigh High respectively in first round games on Tuesday.

They joined Rusea’s High, Manchester High, and Annotto Bay High, who won their first four games of the season, but Annotto Bay had their winning run snapped yesterday.

Eight schools are still perfect going into today’s round-of-16 games including Manchester High and Belair High, who have combined to win their first seven games meeting in a crunch game.

Both, having scored a combined 39 goals and conceding one, will meet in Mandeville in a game that is one of three that were postponed from yesterday.

Manchester High leads with 12 points from four wins while Belair have won their first three and after the teams shared home wins last season, there will be an air of expectation from both camps.

Former champions Rusea’s High, Happy Grove, and Morant Bay High will also be defending perfect win records.

Rusea’s High, who are seeking a fifth-straight win, will host Cambridge High in a Zone B return-round game in Lucea after winning 6-1 in the first round.

Morant Bay are going after a fourth-straight and hosts Robert Lightbourne High, who they had hammered 12-0 in their first-round meeting.

Happy Grove High are also trying to win their fourth-straight game and will face second-placed Port Antonio High, whom they had beaten 5-0 in the first round.

Goals from Christopher Hull in the first half and Kaheim Dixon in the second half saw Clarendon College hand Edwin Allen their first loss of the season yesterday.

The win took Clarendon College to 12 points, three clear of Edwin Allen High, at the top of Zone H.

DeAndre Johnson scored both goals for Glenmuir High to move five points clear of Denbigh High.

Annotto Bay High’s good start ended when they were beaten 6-2 by Tacky High, who were led by a brace from Giovanni McLean and goals from Romario Gibbs, Deandre Jackson, Jayden Davis and Davaughnie Ellis.

Cedric Titus High rebounded from their first loss to beat Aabuthnott Gallimore High 10-0. Rashawn Small scored four times, Malik Foster got a hat-trick, while Christopher Walters, Kimarie Gordon, and Devante Haughton got the others.

Ocho Rios High outscored York Castle 4-2 while Manning’s School beat Knocklava Technical 3-1 with goals from Roan Virgo, Akieme Gordon, and Dainton Williams.
