Kingston man charged after man and woman shot
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 32-year old man from Kingston was charged with wounding with intent and possession of prohibited weapon after a woman and man were shot on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
He is Andre Robinson otherwise called ‘Kemmy’, of William Street, Rae Town, Kingston 16.
Reports from the Elletson Road Criminal Investigations Branch are that about 6:20 am, a woman was at her gate, when she heard several explosions and saw a man running towards her, with Robinson pursuing him, while allegedly firing at the man. She began running and Robinson fired at them, injuring both. Robinson escaped on foot in the area.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the woman was taken to hospital, where she was treated and released.
Robinson was charged on Sunday, and is currently awaiting a court date.
