Motorcyclist killed in Westmoreland crash
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica— A 22-year-old motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a car in Brighton, Little London, Westmoreland on Monday afternoon.
He is Raynardo Rose, a security guard of Little Bay district in the parish.
Rose is said to have been an avid drummer.
Reports from the Negril Police are that about 2:30 pm, Rose was travelling on his 2021 CG200 motorcycle when he lost control and collided with a grey Toyota Corolla motorcar travelling in the opposite direction.
Rose was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to the latest Road Safety Unit Crash report, 302 people have been killed in 281 fatal crashes since the start of the year.
Westmoreland is the division with the most fatalities so far in 2023, with 41.
