Miss Cookie, Gujarat win third quarter of tipsters’ competition
BERNADETTE “Miss Cookie” Bishope and Anthony “Gujurat” Allen resumed their winning streak in the 2023 Capital Betting and Wagering Limited/Jamaica Observer Tipsters’ Competition by winning the third quarter.
Bishope dominated the Most Wins category while Allen triumphed in the Monetary category. Both tippers, who were also first- and second-quarter winners, received $20,000 each in prize money.
Bishope tallied 234 winners to take the quarter by nine winners, ahead of Ruddy “Kool Kat” Allen who finished on 225 winners. Gujurat finished third on 223 winners, with Leslie “Hot Spur” McLean coming fourth on 214 winners. Jason “Jah Son” Duncan (202), Sherdon “The General” Cowan (201), Kingsley “The Genius” Gentles (200), Donald “Sir Donald” Bahadur (179), and Robert “Bailey” Bailey (170) were the other tipsters.
Allen finished with $26,300 to win the Monetary category. Duncan finished second with $20,853, Cowan was third with $16,698, and Gentles, with $13,721,was fourth.
The competition’s championship quarter spans from October through December.
