LWDs for Class of 2023

LWDs for Class of 2023

As graduation season approaches, University students everywhere are not only preparing for the next exciting chapter of their lives but also thinking about those memorable moments that will be captured forever: Picture Day. And, of course, the big day itself.

While graduation gowns and caps are traditional, there’s one piece of clothing that can truly make a difference in how you look and feel —the little white dress (LWD).

LWDs have, in recent years, become an increasingly popular choice for graduates. They exude a sense of purity, simplicity, and sophistication that perfectly encapsulate the spirit of this milestone.

Tuesday Style Fashion (TSF) pulled a few looks from local designers and retailers as well as some tips on how choosing the right LWD can make a significant impact.

1. Timeless Elegance: A well-chosen LWD is timeless; it will never go out of style. Whether you’re looking back at your graduation photos in a year or a decade, the LWD will continue to look chic. Be sure to choose wisely.

2. Picture-Perfect Moments: Graduation pictures are things you’ll cherish for a lifetime. A carefully selected LWD can enhance your overall appearance, making you stand out in a sea of gowns. Its simplicity and the way it complements your figure can help you look and feel confident.

3. Versatility: What’s great about LWDs is that they’re not limited to just the graduation ceremony. They can be dressed up or down for various graduation-related events, from pre-graduation dinners to post-graduation celebrations.

4. Personalisation: LWDs come in a variety of styles, allowing you to choose one that suits your individual taste and personality. Whether you prefer bohemian, a classic A-line cut, or a trendy off-the-shoulder style, there’s an LWD for you.

5. Symbolic Meaning: The colour white has long been associated with new beginnings, purity, and the start of a fresh chapter in life. Wearing an LWD on graduation day symbolises the clean slate you’re about to embark upon, filled with new opportunities, adventures, and experiences.

When selecting your LWD for graduation season, consider the design, fit, and comfort, as you’ll be wearing it for a significant part of the day. Additionally, keep your school’s dress code and the weather in mind.
